Did anyone else notice the interesting 'buzz' from the Las Vegas Review-Journal? (That found its way to me via Meir Yedid's MagicTimes.com site.) According to the Journal, of the top 10 shows (among all shows) during 2002 in Las Vegas, three were magic shows.
At #6 is Penn & Teller at the Rio. #9 is Mac King at Harrah's (and to quote the Journal: "A $16.45 reminder to most every other Las Vegas show worth seeing that 'inexpensive' does not equal 'cheap.' It's a real show as well as a real value, the best on the Strip"). And at #10, according to columnist Michael Weatherford: "Caesars Magical Empire, Caesars Palace -- One of Park Place Entertainment's several dubious moves this year was the November closing of this classy family attraction that drew repeat business and didn't feel like a kiddie park."
