Now is your chance. November 3rd, on TV Land. Look for him on a re-run of 60 minutes.

Thanks for the tip Max.

The first faro shuffle I ever witnessed was done by Johnny Carson.

I can't remember if he does any card tricks, but the teaser shows him riffling cards. This show is a repeat from an interview done??? fifteen years ago. I know that Johnny always felt out-of-place whenever not behind his desk, and whenever he felt out-of-place, he always resorted to card tricks. I think I only saw him do one trick, and it was when some other magician was on, maybe Henning? But, he did a choosen card to his mouth.
I have a very close friend who used to go to high society social events when Johnny was still up and comming, and said Johnny lit up the room, (way back in the 1960's), and would appear awkward, and often resorted to card tricks.
We need to come up with two conditions that relate to "us". (You know like Meunschausen's disease). We need a name for when you develop an un-healthy mother fixation, and want to secretly kill yourself (like Houdini). And also when you start doing card tricks, when in nervous social situations... I think "Carsonama" has already been taken.

I can still remember when he did the Linking Rings on the Tonight Show. It and Steve Martin's Flydini stick in my memory the strongest.

How cool was that? They aired cutting room floor footage of Carson doing a quick and simple card trick to Steve Croft. Stick with me folks, I'll show you around this world...

The same night Carson did the linking rings (first time I understood how Symphony of the Rings was supposed to look), he did card fan productions. Very entertainingly. Johnny had (has) chops.

You would have "chops" too... if your teacher was Dean Dill. :genii:
Stay tooned.
