Silk vanishing cone?

I'm looking for an item I've seen now and then...it's a sort of cone you fold up, put a silk into, and then shake open to show the silk gone.

Is this in one of the old magic books? It seems like something that you'd construct yourself.

A Lewiscone - probably available from many dealers - Google found this reference.

Jeff: I think a "cleaner" method is to use an ungimmicked piece of paper that is rolled in to a cone shape and vanish the silk via a "pull".

Kendrix, good suggestion...but I'm looking for something self-contained that can be used with the "Instant Magician" (the one Kevin James sells.) So a pull won't work.

Thanks!

I knew it was in one of the classic books, just didn't remember which one.

Also good descriptions of the 'newspaper cone' are in these:

Magic Digest, by George B. Anderson, a nice collection of beginner magic for adults that has many good items in it for magicians of all abilities

Secrets of Alkazar (aka Book of Magic for Young Magicians, Dover reprint), a beginner magic book for teens with solid routines and excellent ideas on presentations (and restructuring presentations to suit your character, show type, personality type, etc.)
