Rattle Back, Wobble Back or Devil's Compass

Postby MaxNY » January 14th, 2013, 5:26 pm

Has there ever been a Rattle Back, Wobble Back or Devil's Compass made from real stone? I have success with this puzzle for Bar mitzvah kids, but the story about it being perhaps the oldest toy ever found in caves...doesn't stand when you produce some bright blue piece of lucite. Has anyone ever made this is as realistic stone?

I just found this guy on the Internet.....

For a rattleback about 12 inches long, contact Charles W. Sherburne, 3409 Patton Avenue, San Pedro,
CA 90731. He calls it an ARK,

Anybody ever deal with him?
