Jerry Andrus knew over 20 years ago what scientists are just finding out today: that sitting is bad for you.

So read this, from today's NY Times, about all the fancy desks and furniture that you can buy which allow you to walk on a treadmill while working:

Jerry was a fascinating guy. Many years ago he was working close up at the Castle. At the end of the night I went to visit him at the local hotel he was in. I walk into the room and he had bought many of his large optical illusions and had them set up all over the place.

It was like walking into a mini-theme park. Just fantastic to have the man himself take me through the illusions and talk to me about all the various concepts. He had one of his giant spinning disks that was practically my height. Just great stuff.
