I sent my RSVP a while back, but never got a confirmation.
How do I know if I'm in?

I was just asking - in a roundabout way - if anyone else had received a confirmation (since there were some issues where I couldn't log on for some time).
But I took your suggestion and hope to see everyone there! Thanks!

I thought I had RSVP'd, but didn't realize I had to sign up for Windows Live seperately. When I did a week or so later the RSVP went through and I got a confirmation almost immediately. It's a good thing I double checked.

Well, I'm totally confused.
I've received no confirmation. Is Windows Live the same as Hotmail?
Do I need a separate email address? I am totally confused. Kelly, can you discreetly elaborate? Thank you.

All it took for me was a simple email to the info@ alias (listed as the contact email on the website). I sent the email back in July and received a prompt response letting me know that I had been added to the list. Nothing to do with Windows Live, as far as I can tell.

Sadly, I'm not sure I understand exactly what happened in my case. When I tried to send the RSVP through the contact at the RS website, it popped up the Windows Live email....sender thing. I wrote my RSVP message and hit send. Nothing much happened. I figured it went on through as the window had disappeared. A week or so later, I tried to send another email in the same fashion (unrelated to RS) and I got a prompt to "Sign In" to Windows Live. When I did, it showed that I had 2 "unsent" emails, one of which was the RSVP for RS. It then sent the messages automatically and I got a response from RS the same day saying that they had added me to their list. I only use Hotmail for my email, but it looks like Windows Live email might be a seperate entity, yet still use the Hotmail system. I hope I haven't further confused the issue.....I'm not much of a computer guy.

The email seems to have gone through from my Hotmail account just fine. My problem was, apparently, going through the hotlink on the RS site. I probably have a wrong setting or something on my end.

I'm sorry if I confused the issue more. If you just do as Mr. Kaufman says in the above note from your email account it should go through just fine.

I appreciate it, but it'll be a soda for me. The Genii's alcohol consumption is about 3 beers a year. :)

Shazam! I received a confirmation. Sending my RSVP via my email rather than through the website did the trick........ Thanks for the guidance Richard, Kelly and Evan.

It's the first time any member of Real Secrets will feel they belong to a community, because they'll be a lot of us in one room and will be able to talk freely.

Impressive production design and scripting for a TV show.
There are still fan organizations.

Not many pundits going on about a guy looking out for number one while flushing a number two every episode - so it's still a winner IMHO.

Holds up an umbrella and watches for weather balloons,

OT, but why not. The Blu-ray release of The Prisoner is really a top-notch production. I popped it into our Blu-ray player when we first got it, and I was stunned at how good it looked. Hard to believe that this show was made back in the 1960's...the digital transfer is excellent. And it still holds up incredibly well, even after 45 years (!).

The Prisoner looks great on blu-ray because it was shot on film, not videotape. The blu-ray was transferred from the original film negs.

Note the following important communication from the Real Secrets Team to those who have RSVP'd for the Real Secrets party at the Genii Bash:

When you check in for the Genii convention, simply tell them you have RSVP d for the Real Secrets private party. Your name will be confirmed against the Real Secrets RSVP list, and you will be given a Real Secrets button. Wear the small button throughout the convention as cool things could happen if it is spotted. This will also help you identify other Real Secrets members. The Real Secrets party is limited only to members who have RSVP d (no guests allowed). Your button and name will be checked at the door. Food, surprises, sharing and fun await when you enter. Real Secrets party will occur on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Traditions Room.

So I'm walking around the pre-bash dealers room tonight and a guy comes up points to my Real Secrets badge says hope you'll be joining us for the party, hands me a DVD and walks off. It happened so quickly I wouldn't be able to describe him nor did I read his name badge. I have a brand new Big Blind Media card DVD and a complete and utter sense of wonder. It was a magical encounter and I can't wait for the pizza party.
Every day is a magical adventure!

I too have maybe a dozen free DVD's to give away. These are the Ultra rare copies of RAW! If you got one in the past, you know how fun these can be. 45 minutes of Out-takes, insults, name calling....and mayhem. All you have to do to receive one is shake my hand and say the password Gern Blanston.
