Hey,

I'm going to the Genii convention in October and would love to share a room to lower costs. (I'm a guy, for the record, and am totally not creepy.) Anyone need a roomie?

Thanks,
James Sanden

I can vouch that James is totally not creepy, for a magician. :)

Yes, but haven't registered yet, as some unexpected car bills have set me back. If you want, go with another...but YES I plan on attending.

FYI, Richard just sent out an email saying the hotel is sold out and to let him know if you're open to sharing a room, so I told him I was. I don't have a roommate lined up, per se, but I did let him know I was open to being matched up.

Hope you can register soon!

...truth is I'm stalling to find one of those 'creepy" types.

While I would have liked to stay at the convention hotel, my money situation had to wait and then it was booked. As Richard mentioned there are a number of places really close by that wouldn't require renting a car. A couple of us booked the Red Roof and it's about half the price of the convention hotel.

Dang. I wish I would have thought of that. I wonder if I can cancel my hotel reservation... How far away is the Red Roof?

Staying a Red Roof inn sounds smart.

I know one moron who is moving across country to be close enough he won't have to pay for a hotel bill.

That is dedication to the Genii Bash . . . I gotta go pack, I'm moving.

I would appreciate you not cancelling your hotel reservation. If you prefer to share your room at the Florida Hotel, we now how several people who've volunteered. You would end up paying a little less than the Red Roof by sharing a room at the convention hotel.

Yes there is.
Just email Margret at genii@geniimagazine.com whether you are willing to share and already have a room, or whether you don't have a room and are looking to share. We will pair you up with someone.

Jamie I sent you a private message, or maybe 5. I can't figure out what the prompt "You have reached your limit of PM recipients" means. But I'm in. PM me back if offer is still good.

Hey Jamie? You still alive?

I can't wait. For those that have met me at other conventions, you know I have a unusual taste for gags, and practical jokes. I already have a great one planned for this convention, prep work is in the makes...already $30 deep, could go as high as $60.

So, here you go, someone wants a room mate, so if you were thinking about coming next week, and I know you were, now you can even attend and save a little cash to spend in the dealers' room!
