Did you know Ask Alexander can:
* Search for information using a book's title, author, year published or language?
* Help you organize the cool things you find into collections of downloadable pages?
* Create a personalized virtual bookshelf and conveniently track how far you've read in each?
Alex has many powerful features that are not well know. You can help change that.
I'd like the help of one or two volunteers to help craft a FAQ and set of help pages for Ask Alexander. By volunteering you'll quickly become an expert Alex user while help Conjuring Arts Research Center, Genii readers, and your fellow magic enthusiasts.
Potential volunteers can get a sense of the content required by looking at these draft help pages; the merely curious will find some useful tips and details: Searching , Search Options , and Advanced Searching .
Contact dsmith (at) conjuringarts.org if you are interested in volunteering. The FAQ and help pages don't require HTML skills or deep knowledge of Ask Alexander. If you do have technical chops AND can commit to completing some web development projects, I'd love to hear from you too!
There are many interesting features coming in Ask Alexander this year. Come play with us.
Discuss aspects of the new digital access to all back issues of Genii and anything therein.
