In the April issue, David Regal gives a brief review of Roger Nicots "Goodbye, Benjamin" produced by Mark Mason.

Looks an awful lot like Joe Porpers "[censored] Surprise."

Just curious..

George,
I'm not quite certain what you are saying here. They may seem similar but they are different. There have been a number of [censored] shaker chop cup designs as well as other effects made by a variety of builders over the years.

In the past I have also made a [censored] shaker chop cup with the little lid chopped too (no longer in active production). Another one I made for a guy utilized three layers of metal. It was a combination chop cup, chopped lid, and lota liquid load (one-of-a-kind). There have also been foo can and just lota type [censored] shakers made. I am currently working on a new think-a-drink [censored] shaker.

Though these shakers may all look similar, they are all different in the workings.

Thanks for your response Jim. I knew Pete had a hand in this design, & I haven't spoken to him about it. He was out here for one of Stan Kramien's Jamborees and brought the prototype with him. Beautiful piece of work. He also had the "new style" linking finger rings -- they too were a work of beauty!

Your think a drink sounds interesting also. In the late fifties I saw "Think a Drink Hoffman" at the old Chicago Theater -- amazinbg stuff.

Again thanks for the input.

George;
Here are a couple pics of the chop cups that were parts of my [censored] shaker:

Not shown is the connecting piece with its spun in strainer. As you can see, most [censored] shakers look pretty much the same.
