About a hundred years ago, a physicist at a lecture hall in London was preparing to demonstrate Marconi's new invention: radio. But the demonstration was taken over by hackers, or a hacker, who caused the system to spit out a poem attacking Marconi.

The source of the hack: Nevil Maskelyne, who was apparently motivated by the desire to demonstrate that the system, which Marconi claimed was very secure, was in fact not secure at all.

This article at New Scientist tells the story, which may be familiar to experts and historians but was sure news to me.
