I've been looking for a decent fork or spoon switch that doesn't rely on mis-direction or moving around too much. I've been using a simple switch where I have the 'prepared' spoon in my left trouser pocket. After doing a fulcrum bend I put my left hand in to the pocket and act as if I need to move somewhere for a better view; or get people to move at their table slightly. While this is happening I put my right hand (holding the spoon)in to my pocket and pull out my left hand holding the spoon. This has always worked but each time the timing is different. Is there a more elegant solution?

Gertner's gravity switch might serve.
