Cannot login on iPad

Greetings,

Trying to login to iGenii using iPad app and it keeps saying "Authentication Failed"

I can log into Ask Alexander online just fine....

Any thoughts?

Email Richard. I had the same problem and he solved it. It looks great on the ipad!

Here's what's happening: it is necessary for you to log in to Ask Alexander via the login page. Once you've done that, it initiates a series of steps which will result in giving you iPad access a day or two later.

This applies to everyone who has not access Alexander through the login page since before April 15.

Same problem for me, have waited several days since re-logging in to Ask Alexander as well. i'll try again through the weekend but after the initial 2 days it still does not seem to work.

We are putting a new bit of code in place that should partially automate the process, but there will still be a delay of a few days once you log in to Alexander.

Dorian, you should be able to access the iPad content.

John Bodine, there is no Genii subscription attached to your Alexander account. Did you activate your Genii subscription and attach it to your existing account?

Thanks for the response. i haven't activated, and just looked around and found what i need to do to activate. Now to get that access code!

Signed into Ask Alexander account on the 17th and gave it a few days before trying the app again but I'm still getting the "Authentication failed" error. Any ideas?

Rich,

Your account data was updated on 4/18. Your account definitely has access to the iGenii May issue which indicates that your iPad should now have access too.

You have two accounts on Alexander (one for Genii, one from Magic*Con 2010). Are you sure you're using the correct account (richaviles) to access the iPad application. Contact Richard via email if you're still having problems.
