Reference for Card Change Needed

Discuss the tricks and sleights which appear in Genii.

I knew this at one time but no matter how many Red Bulls I drink, it's just not coming back to me. I'm looking for the name of this card change and (more importantly) who invented it - as you slowly revolve a double card between your hands, you steal the face card into Tenkai Palm, then continue to turn the remaining card face toward the audience, revealing the change. Any help would be much appreciated (if meagerly rewarded).

Bob, I thumbed through the Big Book of Balloons and all I found was a progressive ace assembly using a gambler's cop. As for The Dai Vernon Book of Magic, unfortunately, this change isn't described there. But Pete, your reference got me on the right track, and I just found the move in "The Magic and Methods of Ross Bertram." Thanks guys! (and by guys I mean Pete)

Damn! I really really WAS about to say it seemed Ross Bertramish but figured you Canadians would know each other's work. Maybe Canada's bigger than I thought. Must check map next time.

It's the Pivot Change by Ross Bertram. It's also in Dai Vernon's Ultimate Secrets of Card Magic by Lewis Ganson Chapter 28.

Surprised it's not Tenkai's.

That action makes a fine steal of the face card(s) from a packet and permits what appears a simple transfer to advance the action (effect) while managing some of the method.

it's inspired by Tenkai.

Read Miracle Card Change By Marlo, page 11 (1954).

Any change where you have a double card and the face card is taken into Tenkai Palm is related to an original change of Tenkai's. The moves by Vernon and Bertram are variations of Tenkai's work.
