Bess Houdini's birthday?

Discuss the historical aspects of magic, including memories, or favorite stories.

So I'm trying to nail down Bess Houdini's birthday. I want to do something special for the old gal on my blog, but I don't want to get the date wrong.

So far I have:

Jan. 23 - sources are David Charvet's article on Bess in the Oct '95 MAGIC and the California Death index.

Jan. 22 - sources are Houdini Art & Magic and Pat Culliton's Houdini The Key.

Her tombstone just shows the year. Nothing in Silverman or Kalush that I could find.

Can anyone help a brother out? Maybe Jeff Blood reads these forums? (I've lost your email, Jeff.)

Thanks.

The 22nd is certainly the more frequently used date, but there is some evidence for the 23rd. Screw it. I decide to celebrate both days. As my fellow Houdini buffs said to me, "If Houdini can have two birthdays, why not Bess?"

If you get a chance, click on over to my site at some point this weekend. I've done a little revamp on the site design for the weekend. Having some fun with all this. :)
