Setting off on his, as Chan Loo: the magical mandrin. A Pioneering Chinese American performer whos work on stage, TV, film and print ads in Magic and Sportsman Hunting and Fly Fishing that has span the globe. With his wife Arlene and daughter Mai-Ling, they created the Shang Po Magic Show, known for building the smallest zig zag in the world along with other miniature illusions.

His daughter Frances Mai-Ling will talk about his life from coming over from China as a little boy, his contribution to the art and history of magic as well as a inventor and sportsman. So I couldn't broadcast this live because
Tim couldn't figure out his wireless but
that's OK. It would have been nice. I did
videotape it and will cut it and have it up
on vimeo to view by invitation only.

We had a nice crowd despite the massive snowiness
and everyone loved how i presented my lecture.
Everyone was engaged and I talked about my father's
history but also how he was connected with various
people at the exhibit. Talked about specific
illusions and tricks and presented videos and
never seen before illusion.

It was fun and I hope to be doing this lecture again
next year.

I was told in 2012 another museum is raising funds
and planning on doing a similar exhibit in Chicago
so I'm super phyched about that.

The exhibit in Elmhurst is running thru January 2nd.
Please go and visit it.
It's one of their best and most attended exhibit's
that they have ever had.
I guess it proves, Chicago has history.
