Dr. Sawa in Genii

Postby David Acer » July 13th, 2010, 9:25 pm

I just became reacquainted with a handful of great routines by Dr. Sawa that are being performed on youtube as we speak, and two of the most visually striking ones were published in Genii. If you haven't had a chance to watch these, they're worth a look:

WHY A BIG PURSE? (Genii, November, 2002)
Performed by Antonio Yang

I agree, and I think "magicianism" did a great job with it in this clip. He takes his time without being slow, which defuses all those potential "I don't know what he did but I know he did something" moments that often arise in coin magic.

Submarine Coins was published in Genii; Slydini's Imp Pass is published in Slydini Encores, as well as the Fulves Slydini Books.
