When I was a kid I saw Peter Pitt do the dancing cane trick. There was some recent discussion of his expertise with this. But no one mentioned where he is now. Is he still working?

He passed away a few years back.

I saw Peter Pit when I was a child as well, and he was a teriffic performer. I tried to include his performance on the Ed Sullivan Show in my Dancing Cane 101 DVD but, that proved impossible with the fees that were involved. I really wanted him on my DVD. I did however, include material from Hugo Wei, he was Peters student.

Just for the record...

It's 'PIT' - only one 'T'.

Not 'PITT'.

Peter Pit taught many people magic. A lot of us were his students.

Today at a performance at a private party, I was doing my magic and a lady told me she was engaged with a worldchampion of magic. His name: Peter Pit! She told me that later they found out what his true love was.
I told her what he had accomplished in the USA and in magic and that he sadly passed away a couple of years ago. She was impressed. It's a small world :)
