I dont understand why its not more popular. Ibidem is a fun read. The word that comes to mindfor lack of a better oneis quirky (the covers alone are trippy), but there are several hidden gems in it if thats what you are after. But I am a sucker for old magazines because they are trips in Mr. Peabodys WABAC Machinea peek into our past (recent past in this case). For three heavy books, the price seems reasonable.

Quirky = small audience.

P. Howard Lyons understood this, which is why he printed so few copies.

I understand it after publishing the first book in this trilogy.

The books are wonderful. I posted a new review this month, with excerpt, at

History + Art (Pat's) + the avant-garde card magic of the mid-to-late 20th Century. Amongst the pride of my library. And PHL knew his jazz, baybee.

If you have a yen to study Ronald Wohl's (Ravelli) creations, then you need these books.
