SCAM 2010

South Carolinas Prime Convention

Fifteen Years and Counting.

We are proud to have hosted some of the finest Magicians over that time and are dedicated to continue that tradition. 2010 does just that by bringing together a very balanced line up that includes some of the Masters of Magic along with stars of tomorrow who will join that elite group. From this exposure to great talent, you will go home with inspiration to take your own performance to a new level. It is not just about seeing the Stars perform, but about gaining magic knowledge that you can actually use, taught by magicians that understand.

We have now secured a theatre with a proscenium stage (the best for a magic performance) to feature our Gala Show on Saturday night, January 16, 2010.

Check our web site for more information. Please look at our Video Contest and find out about the magic auction.

Register soon to be eligible for the special drawing to win a free registration for SCAM 2011.

For all those who have already chosen to join us,
a Big Thank You!

SCAM 2010

We have put together a very nice balance of Talent and Dealers that will make this convention special for all who attend.

Our dealers offer some unique magic that should make your magic shopping a pleasure. Rather than a huge number of shops, we have chosen to offer a select number of dealers that will not only give the magicians a wonderful variety of magic but also will give the dealers more opportunities for sales.

Direct from Fukuoka, Japan, Kikuchi Magic will be featuring original items that they are World famous for: Fickle Fire, Flower Ring, Fire Cell Phone, Fire Box and much more. They are flying over 15 hours to be with us at SCAM 2010.

Go to type in kikuchi magic and check out some of their magic. The web site is Great Stuff!

Direct from Austin, Texas, (but not as far as Japan), Texas Magic Supply will bring 50-75 types of decks of standard cards. Different stock, coating, styles, etc. Additionally, a huge amount of trick and gaffed cards, card clips, close-up mats and a host of other card items. This is a special opportunity to stock up on all the things you need for your card work. Think of the possibilities with such a wide range of material.

Magic Central will join us all the way from beautiful Ashville, NC.

If you have not had the occasion to see Ricky Boone and talk with him, this is a great time to take advantage of his presence.

Ricky brings a number of effects that he has created and he will also be helping Harry Anderson with his magic items.

The dealer's dealer, Harry Allen will again be with us at SCAM. What a showman and pitch-man! To top off a good thing, Harry will honor us with his special lecture on Comedy Magic.

Columbia Magic will bring a wide range of general magic that will appeal to one and all. There are also some items that will attract the very serious magician: The Semi Automatic Card Tricks volumes from the Creative mind of Steve Beam comes to mind.

Check out the web site for all of the quality dealers.

Harry Anderson will be bringing goods from his magic shop, Spade and Archer, that was located in New Orleans prior to Katrina. The product is largely hand-made, limited runs of his select tricks, lecture notes, DVDs and books. There will also be select high-end collectibles added for flavor. Its an extraordinary dealership and a special opportunity to see and possibly own some of the great magic from Harrys collection. We are pleased to announce that Ricky Boone, owner of Magic Central will be at Harrys booth to assist him.

You do not want to miss the chance to experience Harry with his collection of magic right here at SCAM 2010 not to mention a great lecture, a FREE Workshop and his performance in the Gala Show on Saturday night.

And this is just one of the Fantastic magicians on the bill.

It's a shame that, for whatever reason - but I've been told it's because of a 'problem' between two magic clubs, and that's a shame - this convention is the same weekend as Magic at the Beach, in the same state. Surely, planning could have been better. I feel both conventions will be less than they could be because of this - fewer attendees, fewer dealers, etc. Maybe next year will be better?
