I love it when an issue of Genii or MAGIC or whatever gets me excited about magic all over again, and such is the case with the fine Derren Brown issue. Derren's two books and his video are among my favorite purchases of the past few years, and this issue is a great intro if you don't already own them. Derren can be wickedly funny (you must buy his books!), and it's great that he feels no need to abide by the "rules" that some magicians think are sacrosanct, to very interesting results. (Mentalists are even more a PITA about their maxims, and he violates those as well.) Also enjoyed the David Ben and Darren Romeo pieces, and I'm still reading.

Derren Brown issue of which magazine?

I just got my copy of Genii with the Tarbell kit in it.

Derren Brown is on the cover of the February Genii.
The Tarbell cutout book was in the January issue with Kalin and Jinger on the cover.

TERRIFIC interview! Thank you Jamy for some terrific work, and thank you Genii for giving it the space it deserved!

Would be wonderful to see additional "full length" interviews in the future with other magicians who have something to say and share!
