Is this real? Knife Trick.

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

I've watched this a few times, and am pretty sure this is fake, but I thought I'd bring this to the Genni brain trust and see what you think.

But it is a trick...

I don't know exactly how he did it, but I can see one method that would exactly duplicate it. Good for on camera like what he did, but would have problems in front of an audience.

Yeah, it's a trick. It was clear to me what was going on. Penn and Teller use a similar modus for their version of the card stab.

As for "screwing up" in front of an audience, my vote still goes for Steve Spill's 'acquitment' after he messes up.

Adam.
Yeah, I thought it was the Penn Teller method. I kept my eye on his hand and noticed how well he was able to keep the top of it away from the camera.

Brian actually talked about this on his BBliveshow.com.. He staged it and kicked himself for not at least having his www site address in the clip because of all the attention that it got.

Someone even sent it to his mom thinking he'd gotten hurt.. ;-)
