Arthur Gross, Sacramento magician and namesake of our Victor Saint Leon IBM Ring 192, died this morning. Art was a well-respected card manipulator and stage magician who built a fine performing reputation first in the bay area and later in Sacramento. He was always ready to teach card sleights to local magicians and entertain with fascinating stories about his shows, especially those given at the 1939 Worlds Fair on Treasure Island and his later spook shows. Art was 88 years old. His passing is a deep loss to all his magical acquaintances, and especially to those in northern California.

Art was one of the first magicians that I met when I moved to the Sacramento area in 1986. He was a great guy who loved magic and loved sharing what he knew and learning new things. I am saddened by his passing. I wish his family well during this difficult time.
