Anyone know if the California fires are threatening the homes of our friends in magic?

I think your first thought should not be about anyone in magic, but about the hundreds of people whose homes have already been destroyed, whether they're interested in magic or not. And if you want to see hell on earth, look here:

The winds were significantly quieter today, so that aided the firefighters in their efforts. That said, the air in and around Los Angeles is thick with smoke and ash.

You got that right. Folks with respiratory problems are wearing hospital-grade masks.

Well, I was hoping to get back to L.A. someday, but it's not looking good. All the best to everyone out there who's been devestated by this fire. I thought I saw on the news that arson was the cause of it, and when they find the createns who set the fire, they need to be drawn and quartered.

We passed by Sylmar on the way home today, and the Oakridge mobile home park looks like a war zone. I expect there will be loss of life from there -- the next day or two will tell.

Hundreds of homes are gone, and there may be more down south in OC and Riverside to come. We're crossing our fingers for everyone there.

Nevertheless thanks much for the kind words and concern. It means a lot to us.

Regards,
Terry and Sandi

Thanks. Unfortunately, it's not just one fire--there are presently five fires raging in Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County and Santa Barbara County.

The smell is unbelievable...
