August Issue of Genii on its Way to You!

Discuss general aspects of Genii.

Postby Richard Kaufman » 07/14/07 04:23 PM

The August issue of Genii is on its way: Pete Biro is on the cover, the subject of a great interview by David Regal. Lots more.
(And no wrap.)
Would like to hear delivery dates from everyone, and please let me know whether the address on your mailing label has just your five digit zip code, or zip+4.

Sorry, the yellow is gone. Kaput. Finished. Don't make me recall all those August issues, Pete, just to have the cover replaced.

I rec'd mine yesterday.
I like it sans wrap. (Though I'm sure in years to come, the Geniis of the past 12 months will be special collectibles if the wrap is intact!

That Pete Biro is one handsome magician!

You're right, Pete...and congrats on the cover and profile. A "wrap" on the outside cover would have seemed like a "gag over your smiling mouth" or, worse, a Polish Blind-fold. However, I prefer your "legs" on p. 66 to those on p. 67...

There is also a subtle visual homage to auto-racing in the photo on p. 51. How cool of you to implant some speedway grit under the finger-nail of your left forefinger. As a thinking magician, Pete, you think of EVERYTHING!

Again, congrats to you and...
...great job, David...

Onward...

Paul, the July issue was mailed on June 8, however you probably missed it because the labels had already gone in. Therefore, your first issue is likely the August issue. As to when you'll receive it--did you opt for Airmail or Int. Economy Service?

I received my copy of the August Genii on Monday, July 16th. The label had my five digit zip code.

David's piece on Biro was extremely well written but told me far more than I ever cared to know about him.

My issue landed in the mailbox on July 17th.

Congratulations to Pete for finally landing the cover. I had to double check to make certain it was the cover and not the wrap. Great interview!
