Steve...
Not to burst your bubble, but as I understand it, FISM is strictly held in Europe. Rules and regs of the organization, you know.

FISM can be anywhere. Japan held it once recently.. but the problem is the European magicians can't afford to go out of the area... most drive, most are young and can't pay to fly especially with props.
Stay tooned.

I recall Japan, sad, dozens of poor Euro magicians drowned attempting to drive there.

Except for the "young" part, I'm qualified to be a European magician! How exciting!

FISM is an international convention, they even considered having one in Australia. However, the majority of registrants do come from Europe and do drive or travel on the train... If you'd like to see FISM in your non-European country, just contact www.FismMagic.com and organise a bid. It works very much like the Olympics, countries bid for the right to hold FISM. Go for it!
