If someone can really offer the benefits mentioned by Chris, they might better do so through a well-run blog. While magic does not offer so fertile a ground to till as, say, politics (or music or sports, or any of a dozen other blog-subjects in the blogosphere), I would love to see a good one, by someone with something to say, and the skills to say it well. Imagine "Genii Speaks" on a twice-a-week basis, for example. Meir Yedid almost had it, with his Magic Times website, but only posted links, without commentary or perspective.
The closest anyone has come so far (that I'm aware of) is the Forum's own Steve Bryant, in his Little Egypt Gazette. This is my favorite cyber-periodical, and I look forward to it each month.
