Incurable Collector

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Home and Garden TV has a show called The Incurable Collector, hosted by John Larroquette. Yesterday's episode included a segment on the New England Magic Collector's Association, and their most recent Yankee Gathering. Several Genii Forum regulars, and others familiar to the community were obivious:

Richard Kaufman doing a very pretty color change
John Gaughan bidding for something
Max Maven sagely observing it all
I think I also spotted Gene Matsura, and Phil Wilmarth in the crowd.

This show is in "heavy rotation", it will be rerun soon.

Speaking of folks on TV, my wife was watching the Food Channel when I wandered in and they were discussing the best milk shakes with Ormond McGill (sp?) the hypno guru. Seems Ormond hits a diner in Palo Alto California four times a week for the shakes.
