Spanish Fly (novel on con men)

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Spanish Fly (novel on con men)

Postby David Scollnik » February 21st, 2008, 4:20 pm

I'd swear I mentioned the book 'Spanish Fly' by Will Ferguson in a previous thread, but that post appears to have vanished in a forum hiccup or something like that.

Anyway, I recently finished reading this novel. Basically, it is a story about a trio of con men "on a crime spree across the Southwest, pulling a series of elaborate and often hilarious cons" during Depression-era America.

I'd describe it as an entertaining read. A good deal of fact is mixed in with the fiction.
