Mike Jones at the Jazz Bakery, L.A.

Discussions of new films, books, television shows, and media indirectly related to magic and magicians. For example, there may be a book on mnemonics or theatrical technique we should know or at least know about.

Mike Jones at the Jazz Bakery, L.A.

Postby Michael Close » July 10th, 2007, 4:20 pm

I wanted to let the folks in the L.A. area know that my buddy Mike Jones (who plays piano for Penn & Teller) is having his L.A. debut at the Jazz Bakery, Friday, July 13 (two shows, 8pm and 9:30pm).

Jonesy, simply put, is a monster. He is one of the few players who carries on the traditional jazz style (ala Oscar Peterson and Dave McKenna). If you like jazz piano, Jonesy will knock you on your butt.

You can find more info at this link:

and can hear some samples of Jonesy's playing here:

I know Mike would appreciate your support.
