Rope Magic Inventors Index

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

I used two sources for this inventors index of rope magic effects. At first I used the "Abbott's Encyclopedia of Rope Tricks" which has been in my library for years. Then I discovered that it was only Volume 1 of a 3 volume set, which has been newly edited and reprinted ( 2005) by Gabe Fajure of Squash Publishing and entitled "Stewart James' Encyclopedia of Rope Tricks." Both indices are posted on my site and both are available on a single searchable Excel file to any magic inventor or author who requests them for the purpose of citing sources of inspiration.
