Dexter's Putty

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

Dexter's Putty
Discussed in Michael Ammars Thread DVD's.
Anyone know where I can purchase this in the states? I found one site in UK that stocks it. Michael Ammar doesn't have any on his website.
Gregory Wilson recommended it for one of his effects on his latest dvd.

thanks

Greg let me take a look at his box of Dexter's putty when he recently lectured at Midwest Magic, in Franklin Park Illinois.

Murphy's Magic Supplies (magic wholesaler) carries it, so your favorite magic dealer should be able to order some for you. I had Midwest Magic order a couple of boxes for me. I'll pick them up this Saturday.

I LOL when I read your response mrgoat.
I'm have albinism too.

Thank you oliver. I'll check with the companies you suggested.

By the way, did Greg specify Dexter's Putty at the lecture. Someone in another forum recommended Super Putty at Hocus Pocus.
Wierd thing is: Greg said at a lecture in Las Vegas Dexter's Putty but that you get it at Hocus Pocus. I'm a little confused because (again) Hocus pocus sells super putty not dexter's putty

Let me be honest.
I've never before heared of Dexters Putty, but I assume, this is stuff solely sold in the States.

What are the advantages of it compared to f.ex. the *Typutz* putty (blue in colour)used to clean old typewriter characters, or to normal magicians wax of diff. grade of softness?
Anyone care to let me know?
