A well-made Okito box does not have to be very thick and heavy.
The Roth set is expensive, but the boxes are well made.

I think fit is more important that the thickness. I'm not a coin guy but I've seen Roths boxes and thought they were well made. Sounds like you think you got something else though...that I can't answer.

I talked to David, and he told me that he never sold his sets to any magic store in Arkansas. In fact, he only sells a few at a time to a handful of dealers, so it is unlikely that they have resold to another store. His boxes are of excellent quality, and a very good weight, but of course I have no idea if you have the same ones. I suggest you find out where the store obtained the set, and I'll get word to David to see if he thinks they are legit.
