Le Paul Spread

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on this move. Basically I am wondering how it became known as the LePaul Spread because in his book The Card Magic of LePaul, he decribes it on pages 36 and 37 as "A Flourish and A Pass". Also on page 35 he mentions "This flourish, although fairly well known among expert card men,is rarely seen and to my knowledge it has never appeared in print."

If anyone knows if it appeared in print anywhere else and the name was given there please let me know. Thanks in advance.
