The Card Magic of Edward G. Brown by Trevor Hall

A place where beginners can participate, ask questions, and post their views. However, beginners typically ask a lot of questions about sources, tricks, books, and so on. In fact, all magicians are interested (or should be) in the provenance of tricks, ideas, and related matters. This department will service these needs.

Hello, I brought this book on a whim on Ebay, I have never heard of the book, what do those who have it ,think of it?
Also I'am gonna buy another book I have never heard of called, The Creative Card Magic of William P. Miesel. What do owners of the two books think of them? Thanks.

Dear Mallakite,

I LOVE The Card Magic of E. G. Brown. The essays are astounding, the magic is STILL good! If you don't know, I wrote (2005) a biog/memoir of Brown (A Magical Life).

The writing of Hall is/can be a little terse, but just TRY the effects. Startling stuff....

See Edward G. Brown - A Magical Life for my book on Brown.
