It just shows what a simple press release (and keeping in touch persistantly) will do. We recently were able to gain statewide publicity and appreciation for our magic convention:
The S.C.A.M. (South Carolina Association of Magicians) Convention 2003 was profiled on the SC ETV Arts program BEAT February 12 and 16, 2003. The documentary piece features Steve Beam, John Tudor, Bob Little, Harry Allen, Tom Jones and Rachel Wild, Robert Moreland, and several others; shot spontaneously in dealer room and lecture environments. The program was broadcast throughout the state of South Carolina; and captures the unique atmosphere of a magician's gathering in a fun, yet respectful way.

John, Nice clip. I enjoyed this years convention. Ya'll always do a great job. I was surprised that you didn't include a snippet from Trixie Bond. She was a real workhorse at this years event. In addition to manning (or is that womanning) her dealers booth, she performed in the dealers show, the close-up show, the stage show, gave a great lecture and also performed a special birthday show for one of the attendees little girl! I hope she got mentioned in the main news release.
