Technicolor Prediction (M. Lewis)

Postby JFox » May 21st, 2004, 7:34 pm

I just purchased this effect, which I am looking forward to using. However two things struck me right away:
Ideally, shouldn't the plastic board be opaque - so that the rear "loads" can't be seen through the front of the board (by the audience),after the envelopes are removed?

On a similar note,if the colored envelopes were thicker and/or opaque, then the unremoved prediction slip won't show through it's envelope during the final part of the routine.

Perhaps I'm being too cautious here? Would any Tech. Pred. users share their thoughts?

I haven't seen the commercial version, having made my own, following instructions I received in Martin's lecture notes after a very informative lecture. The board would need to be opaque. If it isn't, you can fix that with some attractive stick-on shelf liner. If you can't find the proper envelopes, I suggest you make your own, using the wonderful templates supplied by Thomas Henry (www.midwest-analog.com/templates).

Thanks for the tip, Bob. I have now modified my board to make it opaque.
