Interesting article in the New York Times about a recent scientific/philosophical conference on how the mind misinterprets reality. Teller, Randi and others were participants and are featured in the article.

It IS an interesting article, but the exposure of the Miser's Dream was not necessary. Fortunately, those who read it will most likely forget about it in a few months. Still a shame though.

What specifically leads you to believe or expect people to forget the well photographed pictures of Teller "explaining" and mugging for the camera?

IMHO people have a good memory for images and novelty.
