FS: Five Book By or About Professor Hoffmann

Hoffmann, Professor. CONJURER DICK. Warne, 1st Ed, Hardcover. This is
the true first ed of Hoffmanns magical novel, subtitled The Adventures
of a Young Wizard, bound in red cloth w/ black, gold & silver
decorations. On the cover is the name Angleo J. Lewis & in parenthesis
his pseudonym Professor Hoffmann. This attribution is also repeated on
the title page. VG+; Minor soiling to rear cover; unusualy good
condition & a beautiful cover; foi. $650.00.

Hoffmann, Professor. LATEST MAGIC. 1918, Spon & Chamberlain, 1st Ed,
Hardcover. A sought-after Hoffmann title that was only published in two
editions. NF. $160.00.

Another, but VG; Some edgewear to covers; red cloth covers, w/ ornate
gilt & black decorations a bit rubbed; book a bit shaken; pages in quite
good shape. $130.00.

Hoffmann, Professor. PARLOR AMUSEMENTS & EVENING PARTY ENTERTAINMENT.
McKay, Hardcover. Later Ed. This book, published c. 1910, is the
American Ed of Drawing-Room Amusements. The book contains a variety of
games, forfeits, theatricals, magic, conundrums, enigmas, etc. VG+;
Lovely cover & spine decoration in red, black & gilt. $275.00.

Findlay, J. B. & Sawyer, Thomas. PROFESSOR HOFFMANN: A STUDY. 1977,
Author, 1st Ed, Hardcover. History, biography, bibliography, etc. While
the complete print run for this book was 500 copies, a small number
(about 75) were specially numbered & bound in a different colored cloth
(goldenrod) w/ a reproduction of a rare Hoffmann program laid-in. F/F.
$75.00.
