Discuss the historical aspects of magic, including memories, or favorite stories.
A work buddy of mine, who is strictly a layman to magic is reading "Carter Beats the Devil" and asked me how historically fact based the book is. I told him I'd post the question on-line...so if anyone knows please respond.
Most of the characters are real or based on real people. Some of the events are factual, however the interweaving of those events and the characters is fictionalized.
I "reviewed" the book for the forum some time ago, and touched on that issue. You can find it here: http://geniimagazine.com/forum/cgi-bin/ ... 1;t=000149
