Did Disney produce or air a movie about Houdini's life?

Anybody see it and care to comment on its merits?

Many thanks, Kevin.

Has anybody seen this movie? Sounds like it is as fictionalized as the one with Tony Curtis.

I've seen it many years ago. Nothing will beat the Tony Curtis version, IMHO.

After the success of Apocolypto, rumor has it that Disney is going to have Mel Gibson re-do Houdini's life story. For most of the film Harry will be naked, painted blue and hanging upside down in the water torture cell.

He will only speak in an obscure Hungarian folk dialect.

Pam Anderson will play Bess Houdini. Kid Rock was expected to play Harry because of the close resembelance, but since Pam and Kid are divorcing, that's off the table.

I can't wait.

Young Harry Houdini on IMDB

Several years after starring as the young Harry Houdini in this movie, Wil Wheaton would play Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

I interviewed Wil for my biography of Gene Roddenberry. He's a terrific guy and did a nice job on the show. The producer who suceeded Gene should have treated him better.
