Chuck Smith
I've read a bit about Chuck Smith in Roger Klause's Book "In Concert" and heard bits and pieces about him in various Journals. I was wondering if anyone here has met and/or seen him work. He's quite Mysteious and has a quite a reputation. How are his lecture notes? Thanks.

Snatch,
Have you read the article ("Chuck Smith: Wiles of the West") that was published in the October 2001 issue of "MAGIC"?

Re: Chuck Smith
Chuck's notes, while pricey, are ones you will return to study often.
Chuck will probably be at the 3rd "sort of annual" Dallas Close Up Convention.

Come and get entertained as well as fooled badly.

Re: Chuck Smith
Not only are Chuck Smith's Lecture Notes worth rereading and studying, they will galvanize your OWN thinking about certain tricks and ideas. I happily published a couple of his tricks in MAGIC and Chuck is also the inventer of "Knickle Head," which was originally published in the PHOENIX and later integrated into Don Alan's Close-up Ace. I still fool magicians with his "Invisible 21-Card Trick." Also, if you check HIEROPHANT #7 or THE LEGENDARY HIEROPHANT (p. 53), you will find Chuck's "Moving Monte Switch," which must be seen to be fully appreciated. I have him demonstrating it on an old film shot in the 60s.
He is, like Don Alan, in "a class by himself."

It was great fun watching Chuck blow away a room full of magicians with his handling of the old Thieves & Sheep trick.
Then he performs some of the most technical slight of hand invisibly.
He is a real nice guy too.
