Spade & Archer and the Big Easy

Postby Oliver Corpuz » May 8th, 2002, 9:23 am

Hi all,

I'm going to New Orleans this weekend (May 9 - 12). Does anyone down there in the Big Easy know if Harry Anderson's Spade & Archer shop is open to the public yet, or is it still by appointment only. If so, can someone kindly pass on contact information for Harry so I can make an appointment. Thank you.

Regards,

Oliver

A visit to Harry's shop is by appointment only. This is not an elitist thing with him; however, New Orleans is a tourist town and all kinds of idly curious people would be ringing Harry's bell at all hours. Besides, the place is not a run-of-the-mill magic shop. It is filled with collectibles and requires a special knowledge to appreciate what's there. It is quite a place.

Harry was very cordial to me and my visit was an absolutely delight. I plan to write in detail about Harry and his shop in the future. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, check Harry's website for particulars. Good luck.

Onward...
