Teller's Book is Ready!

Postby Todd Karr » August 3rd, 2005, 10:11 am

Hi, everyone.

Teller's amazing wisdom on the art of magic is finally available.

I received my first copy of House of Mystery today from the printer. Wow. Everything came out as we wanted...Teller's essays on magic and commentaries on David P. Abbott's brilliant effects, the dozens of priceless seance photos of Teller with Johnny and Pam Thompson, and all the amazing Abbott writings.

(And a special surprise...Teller's long-secret billet switch.)

6-1/2 pounds, 892 pages, 700 illustrations, two volumes...warn your mail carrier.

We're expecting the printer's shipment soon and will send out copies within the next few weeks to all those awaiting their set! (The limited editions will be completed around the end of the month.)

Thanks to Richard Kaufman for his constant support of this mind-boggling project and to all those who have patiently awaited Teller's creation.

Best wishes,
Todd Karr

Todd,

The set arrived today in the mail. Haven't started reading it yet, but as expected, it's a nice bit of book production.

Congratulations!

My set arrived in Seattle on Saturday. I am extremely impressed, not only with the production, which is everything that Todd Karr has come to be known for, but the work of David Abbott himself. The methods feel extremely modern, and for the first time I have a sense of how otherwise intelligent people at the turn of the century could indeed believe in spirits. Some of these routines are downright devious and would have fooled me badly had I been on the receiving end of them.

Ive said this before and Ill say it again, The Miracle Factory rocks!

I am losing sleep because mine arrived. The two volumes are fantastic! I am glad you did not try a single binding to make it looik like an unabridged dictionary instead of the well edited material it is.

Bingo. The Abbott books arrived yesterday along with the Guy Hollingworth notes. Beautiful set of books, incredible depth.

Shane, thanks for the support. We send our books out media mail, which can be wildly unpredictable, especially with heavy packages like ours, and can take 5-7 business days.

As always, if anyone's book goes missing, we send a replacement immediately.

We also issue IMMEDIATE refunds, no questions asked, if anyone wishes to cancel an order.

Hopefully everyone's book will show up asap so we all can enjoy Teller's wonderful work.

Media Mail can take a lot longer than that some times. My copy went into the mail in a timely fashion, but the USPS kept it for a while -- almost two and a hlaf weeks.

I will say, also, it is _well_ worth the wait; it is not that often in this world that patience pays off this handsomely. Well done on every front.
