Is there any chance to see more materials by Jennings on video?
To be more precise, are there any home video footage of Jennings that someone generous enough would agree to put on the market?
I would love for example to watch Jennings performing his slap aces routine.

Sorry: Jennings was 64 when he died in October 1997 of complications from diabetes.

In case you are unaware of it, Richard published a wonderful book called "Jennings '67" which stands as a fine tribute to this great artist.

In addition to a clever pass and a great palm there's a bit of finesse on the Houdini (aka Erdnase) color change that everyone should adopt.

There are in-depth treatments of the Princess Card Trick and Invisible Palm Aces, a very nice introduction by Richard, and some candid photographs of Mr. Jennings with some feline friends.

It's the first magic book I've read since Minch's Vernon books that feels like a book about a PERSON. It's a must have for any Jennings fan.

Those of us who have read it are waiting patiently for the next volume of the series.

Dear friends

I met Larry Jennings in 1989 whilst working at the Magic Castle. After my show Larry came back to my hotel room and treated me to a master class. Can you imagine what a thrill that was for me; my card magic hasn't been the same since. How could it?
It was a defining moment in my career. At that time I was with a firend Trevor Liley and he captured on film most some the session, it lasted over five hours. I have the tape of that session which no one has seen. It is now 13 years old but still in watchable condition.
On it, Larry talks about naturalness and performs a fantastic version of the Princess Card Trick and the Open Travellers. He also discusses the One Hand Bottom Palm and a very deceptive Stud Bottom Deal.

I own this tape and I am not sure what to do with it out side of keeping it for myself. I would love to share it with the fraternity.

Hi Michael -

How are you? Well, I hope.

You should transfer the tape to a digital medium at your earliest convenience (there are video services/duplication houses that will do this for you). The magnetic particles that hold the information on the dozens of videos we all own are not a perfect storage medium, as they fall off and are easily corrupted. Once you transfer to digital, the liklihood of damage will be lessened.

As far as making the information available, I'm sure there are people who will be happy to buy copies of unedited Jennings, though probably not so many you can finally open that pub and devote your life to putting down bangers. That's all you English guys dream of, right?

Regarding the Jennings video, which I would dearly love to see, you might get in touch with Meir Yedid or Tim Trono, both of whom have video connections. (That last phrase is peculiar, but you know what I mean.) They are both good people to deal with.

Unfortunately, though Michael may have a personal tape of Larry Jennings, he has no legal right to sell copies of the tape. He does not own the material on the tape, or the "image" of Larry Jennings, and he has no legal right to use the name "Larry Jennings" for commercial purposes. Selling the tape would explicitly violate the law.
The guys selling those home-made Frank Garcia tapes on eBay are breaking the law: the image of Frank, and his magic, are owned by his heirs.
