Pete Biro had a stroke

Postby Guest » October 13th, 2007, 11:30 pm

Pete had a stroke in the bank on Oct 11th. Because they attended to him in a swift manner they were able to give him something that caused the paralysis to subside in a short amount of time. I talked to him tonight and he sounded upbeat. He is at Kaiser Hospital in LA.

Please keep him in your prayers. He is a terrific person. We love you Pete.

Thanks for the note Dean.

Pete, if you think this will get you out of working at the History Conference, you're nuts!

Get well quickly my friend!

Dear Pete,

I'm praying for a speedy recovery and smooth transition out of hospital.

Your sense of humor and non-stop creative mind will no doubt play a role in getting you back soon.

BTW, it is said that people who sing statistically live 11 years longer than those who don't.

If you don't sing, start immediately - we need you around here for a long time!

Kindest Regards,

I just got off the phone with Pete. Hes doing very well. Hes up and around and in fact had to hop up to come over to the phone. Hes already talking about being at Deans for a haircut on Wednesday, Thursday the latest.

He says hell be back online tomorrow night. He especially wants the guys at the Caf who have paid me (regarding the cups and balls) to know that he has not forgotten them. So if someone can pass the word over there, hed appreciate it.

Its called T.P.A. also called the "clot busting drug."

It can only be administered effectively within
a 90 min window, the person is having an eschemic
CVA and is healthy to begin with.

I think with all these magi's having strokes
these days, there's a need for a Magician's

My dad can be the Grand Booba and Pete

I just talked to Pete - Thank God he is doing great and should go home tomorrow. His speech is fine and all the paralysis is gone. Even the wrist that he feared he had broken when he fell has turned out to only be sprained. Truly, the speed with which the new drug was given to him produced a miracle recovery. He said to thank you all for your messages and best wishes for his recovery and that he will be online and posting as soon as possible.

Glad to hear that Pete is bouncing back so soon. The fact that they were able to attend to him as quickly as they did goes a long way towards helping the recovery.
