Criss Angel Escapes!
WOW! Criss Angel just escaped from a device of his own design! How cool is that? Not to say that staying under water for 24 hours is easy, but to escape from your own contraption these days is pretty tame stuff, don't you think?

Oh, I ain't. I understand Mr. Angel is a wonderful, powerful performer with mind-blowing, original routines. I wish I could have seen some of that... --Mitch

Re: Criss Angel Escapes!
It was weak theater at best. His call out challenge to "other" magicians was even more squishy than his water soaked hands. On the other hand I did enjoy the Good Morning America guy's reaction to the cloudy seemingly urine mixed water.... ewh!
Then they went back to the studio where it was declared (by one of those talking morning heads) that "there seems to now be a rivalry between blain and angel...ooh stay tuned.
:p

Mr. Angel makes me long for the quiet, dignified and understated magic of Sigfried and Roy.
Re: Criss Angel Escapes!
I was up in New York on the Day Chriss went into the tank and walked by at about 10 AM. I guess he had been in for just a couple of hours at this point. He was just sitting there at the bottom of the tank, looking bored. Actually the most interesting thing about the whole stunt at that point was the bikini clad young woman giving out flyers for the stunt's sponsor, some on-line casino. (Yeah, I know, I'm a pig. )It reminded me of the sleazy Times Square I used to know when I lived in the city back in the 90's.
