Wow...is it really signed Jamy? By Harry Lorayne?

Okay...but you're not going to get me to overpay twice for something. But I'll trade you...For your signed Lorayne book...I'll give you my original first edition copy of Scott's, "A Discovery of Witchcraft". Although I must be honest, I'm probably getting the better of the deal, my copy is pretty damn old.

I'll trade you a coin trick for it and I'll throw in a signed copy of any lorryane book just as soon as I learn to spell his damn name!

I have a complete collection of the first year of Looking Glass, but I had the last issue carbon dated and it seems to be about one ice age older than the first issue. Must be some kind of space/time continuum warp or something.

I also have a copy of Cards as Weapons but some of the pages are stuck together.

Oops, I said that backwards. The first issue seems about 10,000 years older than the last. Of course, I have several journals that exhibit similarly odd features.

Hey, Mike, I'll see your coin trick and raise you an upside-down topit.

Glenn, you know I hear that Looking Glass becomes MUCH more valuable once you have TWO matching sets.

I'm here to help.

Ahh... I've got you ALL beat. An UN-SIGNED copy of a Lorayne book.

He chased me down the street throwing sharpies at me hoping to hit the book, but I managed to get away.

Speaking of the shift (I had just finished practicing it when I happened by your post), I made an interesting discovery many years ago: Though I am right-handed, I normally have my left hand in the palm up position doing most of the work. But occasionally I will change hands thus making it almost feel like someone else is doing itthough I must say that its not nearly as effective.

Wow! What a great bonus Jamy. I'll scrape some off and keep it in a can.

Also, I don't think I'm going to sell you my Discovery of Witchcraft...after closer inspection I noticed it was signed by Harry Loryane.

FADE IN:

INT. HOME OFFICE-FARRINGTON HOME-EVENING

GLENN FARRINGTON a man with olive skin, whose youthful appearance is only betrayed by the decades of wisdom seen within his eyes, sits at his desk in front of the computer.

Glenn LAUGHS as he reads a post of a fellow magician (whose name always reminds him of cheese that he hates) in an online forum for conjurors.

Glenn reaches down and pulls out a drawer from his desk. Glenn reaches into the drawer and takes out a tabbed spiral notebook that reads WORLD MAGIC SEMINAR 2005 on the cover.

Placing the notebook on the desk he opens it by the blue tab that reads BOOKED ACTS.

Glenn reaches across his desk to tin cup covered with red construction paper that shows a childs inked handprint on the side next to a message that reads I LOVE YOU DADDY.

From the cup he pulls out a black permanent magic marker, opens it and crosses out a cheesy name listed on the paper in the open notebook.

LAUGHING Glenn closes the notebook, gets up from his desk and leaves his office.

FADE OUT

Okay, lets cut it, says Coppola, but Al, I want to try something a little different this time. Pacino, ever the professional, is able to hide his irritation given that he just completed the 32nd take of what he felt was a simple scene. But he also knows that its not unusual for Francis Ford Coppola to shoot miles of extra footage. Its clear to him that the eccentric director is finally satisfied with the lighting, lenses and angles, so Pacino is certain that Coppola is expecting something more from his interpretation of his character. Sure, says Pacino calmly, what do you want to see?

Its the laugh, says Coppola. Ive met Farrington, and I think his laugh here would be a just little moremaniacal. Can you try that for me? But remember, its maniacal, but hes alone; laughing to himself; so it starts soft and builds ever so subtly. You know, its the last laugh.

Was Tom BLUE booked for the WMS? Whose career did you just end? Do you find our good-humored thread here GRATING? A little too SHARP for your tastes? You haven't MELTED under the heat, have you? I don't think anything here was intended to really SLICE anybody up. It would take a lot more before any of these old pals of mine like Latta and Gallo and Farrington would CRUMBLE. Much more of a GRILLING, don't you think?

HOLY crud -- maybe it was little old ME?!? Lemme see ... oh, I get it ... CHEESE! Ah! I get it! See, if you'd said CHOCOLATE ... or ALPS ... or even MOVEMENT ... I would have gotten it instantly. But now I get it. CHEESE! SWISS CHEESE! Hey, I get it! Boy, that is good, that is really good. Kills me dead. Wow. SWISS CHEESE! Just like HOLY ... HOLEY ... SWISS CHEESE!!!

Hey Jamy,

Maybe you can speak for Geoff and Glenn...as for me, I'm crushed, crumbled...my illusions have been shattered...i'm heartbroken and I'm feeling like a used deck of Tally-ho's that's been tossed out...even worse...aviator's!

Whoa is Me,

In one of the 12 introductions I wrote years ago for Bob Farmer's unpublished collection of "Flim Flam" columns, I had Jamy and Bro. John Hamman collaborating on a book titled "Hamman Swiss on a Roll."
