Lost Notebooks

Postby Guest » November 17th, 2001, 12:40 am

So, what could be in these 70 year old scrap scribblings? Left overs? Rejects? Hardly!!

My thumbing through finds on page 71 an item that resembles the Eclipse Tip. !?!?

That's right. This book is crammed with thinking 50, 70 , 100 years ahead of its time. It is like looking into the private notebooks of some of the most brilliant men of the 20s and early 30s.

This is a real treasure chest of diamonds, some rough and some not so.

Give this book the study it deserves.

Bravo for the vision to make this material live again, Richard!

Tom, I must also compliment the book.

It is simply amazing!

Have you had any trouble reading Hilliard's hand writing in some of the effects? Most of it is legible...some of the notes I can't seem to decipher.

That is one of the eclectic beauties of this text. You are, to some little extent, an archaeologist discovering things (seemingly unintelligible in some rare cases) and left to extrapolate their meaning.

I find it joyful. It is destined to create a wonderful dialogue around this book.

Tom,
This is true... it is like a search.

I just finished the Al Baker section. I like seeing J.N.H.'s little mistakes... they didn't have white out.. all those "XXXXX"'s.
