Illustrated Story of Magic

Postby LaMont » June 15th, 2007, 12:51 pm

Hi,

I just obtained a copy of the Classics Illustrated comic The Illustrated Story of Magic published in 1960. Does anyone know who wrote the text and who illustrated this comic?

Thanks.

I would have bet money that it was a Walter Gibson work, as most magic items published for the general public can be traced to him. However, I checked JR Cox's "Man of Magic and Mystery" which lists all of Gibson's known works, and I could not locate this title.

This site states that the illustrator was a man named Norman Nodel.

Hi,

Thanks Gary and Jim. I thought maybe Walter Gibson as he had done some Batman comics. I also thought of Melbourne Christopher. However, I can not verify either of these.

Anybody else have an idea?
