Buying Card decks in bulks

Postby Guest » December 1st, 2002, 5:10 am

Hello everyone, again. To most of you whom you have already helped me a lot with my card practice, thanks very much again. This time my question isn't about any sleights or techniques.

Does anyone know of a link where I can buy card decks in bulks so that I can save money on cards? Also, hopefully they ship over seas to Japan. I found one site that sells all brands of cards in bulk very cheap but unfortunately they won't (yes, will not) sell to individuals, only businesses.

I hope that some of you know of an online store that does sell card decks bulk rate. Unfortunately there aren't any Costco to go to, even if get them shipped to me here, it is still cheaper to get them from the US than buying them here. Thanks again.

Philip,

Most Sams Clubs sell them in 12 pack cases, but I don't know if you have access to a Sams. You may try looking online.

Otherwise try Haines House of Cards in Ohio.

Good Luck!

I use pokerchips.com. I got 24 decks (12 tally-ho, 12 bees) for $59.60. Would be cheaper, but they ship out of Canada. :(

Hi,

I have seen Bicycle decks here at the local Sams in six deck boxes for a little over $1 a deck.

I think Sam's price is $6.75 for 6 decks. Great price!

I remember at some time having heard that the cards at Sam's were 'seconds' as the strike of either back or front is not centered exactly. I checked one of my batches against what was commercially available elsewhere, and they looked just fine. I go through cards like mad, so the Sam's deal has always kept me in cards.

I remember that Stan Karamien used casino cards during his card on ribbon effect when I saw him during the early 70's.

The cheapest non-wholesale source for casino decks that I know of is the guft shop at Slots-A-Fun in Las Vegas. I just returned from there and they were asking just 75 cents per deck.

Costco Wholesale is also a good source, if you have a friend in the States that could send them to you. That's where I purchased cards for resale at my Magic World shop.
